From the moment we arrived (in fact even before) until we left the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. The facilities were excellent.

The staff went out of their way to help us. The Spa with Ocean views and fresh air was So relaxing....especially after multiple airline and taxi delays. Snorkeling within the shark net did allow me to see some good fish.

The room was excellent, but then again we paid a fortune for it. The issue I have is that we arrived on Jan 1st, and left on Jan 6th. On Jan 6th is when the Hotel was fully opened again, besides the swimming pool bar which was still closed. The inside pool doesn't allow children, and I have 2 kids who wanted to be there. There was no options for Room Service as everything was closed due to the time of year, which I would have thought would be peak period and being a Hotel, everything should be open. The hotel is far away from most things, so you had to walk a long way everywhere or get a Taxi. We booked in for the hotel restaurant and when we sat down, we realized there was no kids menu, and prices started at $125AUD per person, without drinks. Even the inside cafe/bar was charging $10AUD for a Pepsi Max. The country is ridiculously expensive, and for the $700AUD a night I paid, I cannot recommend at all. On the good side - all staff were very friendly and welcoming, and did their best to speak English. The room was lovely and spacious for the 4 of us.

We thought it would be a private beach rather than shared with the public. It was gated for us to enter and exit the beach area but it was shared with the public and hotel next door which meant it was generally very busy. The kitchen in our room was not a full kitchen. It lacked many useful appliances, such as a toaster and utensils were bare minimal for cooking. Odd numbers of glasses and tiny cups. The food options in the restaurants on site were limited and had restricted times for certain items. One night we wanted to order a burger and we were told we could only order that item from room service, which seemed odd when we ordered it at the restaurant another night. Once we ordered it from our rooms it arrived cold, and missing some of the items of the dish. With the price of the food we would have expected better all round. We avoided eating there again after this. Dorieann and Clare at the front desk were most helpful with our requests and understanding and we wanted to mention these two ladies as they went that extra mile to help and communicate with us. This resort could have so much more potential, it's a beautiful location, the rooms are a great size and it is clean and modern. The swimming pool has a lovely view, but disappointing the pool bar was closed and no reason given. We were on our honeymoon and we would have loved the perfect accommodation to spend it at, generally we had a great time but those points mentioned above lowered the rating for us.

住宿体验很好饭店服务人员态度极为亲切。但是在饭店的餐厅点了米饭不熟的寿司。跟餐厅反应时只得到“主厨是都是这样煮的，没有问题”。很遗憾得不到适当的处理

We loved our stay at Chateau Royal Resort. Everything about the Resort is perfect. Very clean, great service, beautiful food - we will definitely stay there again.

Pleasantly Surprised and Highly Recommended! Read so many reviews about this hotel that does not aligns with my experience. This is still an amazing hotel for a relaxed getaway in August 2025. First time in Noumea, so I don’t know what it’s like pre-2024 - but I’m glad I came and stayed here! Great hotel staff, excellent service, amazing and convenient location + the fact that there is a kitchenette made our trip so much better. Thank you and highly recommended. Will definitely come back the next time.
